Well, I found that it fails in the same exact way* if I run the ManualInproc quickstart with an iis not in my machine.

As far as I've been able to locate it, in bitsDownloader.cs,
line 454:

backgroundCopyJob.GetState( out state ) returns:

BGJOBSTATE.BGJOBSTATE_SUSPENDED

the first time and

BGJOBSTATE.BGJOBSTATE_ERROR

the second time.

contextForError is BGERRORCONTEXTREMOTEFILE
errorCode is 0x80190194

Any idea?

Ok, found it. :)

In the manifest.xml

<files base="http://localhost/Server/"...

"localhost" was being referred to the client machine's localhost (obviously). Stupid mistake while writing the manifest in the server machine.

Solved.

//////////
1815 "The specified resource language ID cannot be found in the image file."

I get that error at:

updater.Download( manifests, TimeSpan.MaxValue );

What did I do wrong?

Thanks.

P.S.: This only happens in I place the server in a different machine. With a local server, everything works.
