I was wondering if the services that CAB quickstarts and HOLs show could be mapped to web services. Then I saw the Smart Client Baseline Architecture ToolKit Reference Implementation and then I got confused. The services like the ones in the examples just have disappeared, and there you have put another group of classes you call Service Agents, which I think are a good intermediate between the UI and web services. But what about CAB services? I also saw there the Business Entities duplication on server and client side, and I think that it is a really strange and bad pattern.

I would just like to understand how this things fit all togheter. How should I be building my smart client app with the full backend of an enterprise application? Please just help me understand that. Please give a complete example that uses all the great patterns you have been promoting till know. I would really appreciate that.

CAB(Client)>Web service>Model>Database
where the layer that makes the call from CAB is cab service...

SP>Controller>WI>Service(Cab)>WebService>Actual Model>Database //One possibility
