Event Broker or Command

I have a menu item, winexplore item and a context menu item. When any of these items are selected I want one particular method to be executed in one work item. Right now my implementation is using Event broker. I publish same event in 3 different locations and I subscribed the one method to that event. Everything is working good.

My question is, is it the correct solution or is there a better solution using commands?

Thanks in advance.

I changed it to command since with one command you can enable and disable all 3 options instead of enabling each item in their corresponding views.

So I think I found the answer. Use command whenever you associate multiple menu items else use event broker.
