Hi,
I am working with CAB - Composite UI application block and create SmartParts in separate modules; these smartparts uses services(like persistance, object builder etc) that gets started automatically when the CAB shell application starts; now if I try using these smartparts (from that module dll) in a non CAB application, these services do not get started and hence my smartparts functionality is affected.

How to build a smartpart which will contain all the services it needs within itself, so that it can be used like an activeX Control in any .NET application (non CAB applications)?

i'm not sure, but I think, that you need CAB to use these services. even if you try to export the service-implementations to your non-CAB .NET-app, there are simply to much dependencies ot other CAB-components inside the services.
