Hi,

as anyone got experience in using the DevExpress Xtrabars Suite with the Composite UI Application Block?

In particular I am wondering if it is still possible to use the docking
capabilities of the BarManager in this scenario as the UI Application Block
provides its own UI shell.

Here is part of an article describing the UI shell:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WorkItems and their child SmartParts must live in some sort of UI shell. CAB
provides base classes on which to build a number of different types of
Windows application interfaces, which are called "workspaces." The current
implementation gives you the following workspace types:

a.. Window - a standard window
b.. MDI - Multiple Document Interface
c.. Tab - A window with tabs to switch between views
d.. Deck - Similar to a deck of cards, SmartParts are layered on top of one another and can be opened, closed, and/or reordered by the controller
e.. Zone - A tiled interface like Microsoft Outlook, with multiple zones that can interact with one another

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This description makes me uncertain how CAB works together with 3rd party components which provide there own shell.
So any comments are appreciated

Thank you very much

The Infragistics people are working to provide CAB support maybe this will push the DevExpress guys into the market too.
