Hi,
Pardon me if this has already been discussed earlier. I am wondering if there is a sample which shows how to go about invoking a webservice asynchronously (so that the UI is not blocked) and then rendering the results when the resonse is available. It would also be nice if the sample can show how to cancel the invoked background operation if it takes too long to run. I have seen lots of homegrown solutions for this kind of functionality and I am wondering if this is built into the application block.

Thanks.

The recently released CAB Handson Lab has a very good exercise on this.
