How to save and restore a workspace

Hi,

I'm building an application consisting of a number of modules each with a number of workitems and smartparts.

The user can - at runtime - modify the appearance of the smartparts and can also close and add new smartparts.

I'm trying to figure out how to save (automatically before app closes) the complete state and then restore it when the app is started.

Things get more complicated because it is unknown at design time which workitems and smartparts will exist when save is performed and also which workitems and smartparts need to be created by the load.

I'm aware of the WorkItem.Save/Load methods and also of the IStatePersistenceService, but I need some advice on how to use these to solve the problem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
