I want to create a UIelement ( outlook like navigation) and I believe i have to create adapter for that so that I can use it the same way a menu item or toolbar is used.
I saw some examples for that but its talking about inheriting the class from uielementadapter. I am unable to find this class..
i am looking at this blog for the example
http://weblogs.asp.net/israelio/archive/2007/01/05/cab-support-for-custom-uiextensionsites.aspx

hoping to get a quick response
thanks,

Hi!

Add a reference to the Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI assembly to your project.
To do this, in Solution Explorer right-click in your project and select Add Reference. From the Browse tab, select Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI.dll and click OK. You will find this assembly in %programfiles%\Microsoft Smart Client Factory\Lib
Also, you have to add the following using statement at the top of the file:

using Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI.UIElements;

Please let me know if this helps!

I thought that you were talking about the UIElementAdapter class.
If you already have a reference to Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI assembly, add the
following using statement at the top of the file:

using Microsoft.Practices.CompositeUI.Commands;
Please let me know if this helps!
